Fathom Restaurant

Design is in the details in our floor-to-ceiling reimagining of this iconic fine dining establishment in Victoria’s inner harbour. We created a restaurant and lounge space with two separate but complementary identities to support an elevated and elegant seafood experience that appeals to both locals and visitors. Fathom’s lounge also carries the largest collection of whiskey in Victoria. The client wanted this space to feel moody and experiential and we were happy to deliver.

The new visual story by Western Design + Build is one of warm and sophisticated luxury, with unique finishes, multilayered textures and saturated colours.

The Grit: Managing a design + build project in a fully operational hotel that included sourcing challenges during the pandemic. We were careful to work with existing elements so it didn’t become a disruptive experience.

The Sparkle: We love seeing guests enjoy a delicious meal in such a beautiful space, and we appreciate the positive feedback we’ve received from staff who are in the space every day.
